About PayPal Security

Chat Therapy is real-time, one-to-one therapy in a private, secure chat room. It offers immediate feedback and interaction but requires the ability to communicate effectively in real time using a keyboard.

Email Counseling is counseling through emails, thus feedback and interaction are delayed. One advantage, however, is that you can take as much time as necessary to compose in writing what you want to express and to contemplate what has been written to you before responding.

Chat Therapy and Email Counseling: Of course, online therapy can include a mix of both services. It really comes down to what works best for you. Please continue reading to learn more about Email Counseling and Chat Therapy.

Chat Therapy: Here's how it works: First, you complete the one-time Questionnaire to provide background information. Then, within 48 hours of payment received, I will send you an email  to arrange our first Chat Therapy appointment. At the appointment hour, we will meet in a private and secure chat room.  We will then have our first Chat Therapy session and as many subsequent sessions as you find helpful. I also accept money orders, cashier's checks, and personal checks, which can be arranged in advance through the Contact Me form.

ANNOUNCEMENT: I will raise my rates $5.00 per session beginning 7/1/08.

Email Counseling: Here's how it works: First, complete the one-time Questionnaire to provide background information. Next, complete the Email Counseling Submission Form to describe the problem for which you seek help. Finally, pay for your first Email Counseling submission. Then, during the weekend after payment is received, I will email you 2 to 3 pages of well-thought-out professional counsel.
